Sandkassathat’s Norwegian for sandpit

Our apps.

Sandkassa started with apps for Norwegian children, made by a dad in Oslo for his two daughters. Three of the apps now work in any language. The other three are about language, so they stay Norwegian. All six are for iPad, and Drømsle is for iPhone too.

Play in any language.

There are almost no words in the child’s part of Pusle and Rable. Parent mode and the few words on screen follow your iPad: English, Swedish, Danish, German or Norwegian.

Jigsaw puzzles with animals that wake up. And 320 cards to collect.

Pusle is a hedgehog whose spines are jigsaw pieces. Your child puts them together, the animal wakes up, does something silly and turns into a collector card. 80 animals in eight worlds, three kinds of puzzle from 2 pieces to 63, and an album that gets fuller every time.

A sticker book where your child sticks things anywhere. 81 pages and 1,533 stickers.

Klistre is a little kangaroo with a pouch full of stickers. Your child picks a book and a page and puts the stickers exactly where they want, with no snapping and no wrong answers. Each sticker can be used once. Seven shelves, from princesses and firefighters to Norway’s national day, and a camera button that keeps the page before your child starts again.

100 drawings to copy. On real paper, with a real pencil.

Rable is a little fox with a book full of line drawings: princesses, dragons, animals, cars and Santa. Your child picks one, stands the iPad next to the paper and draws with a pencil. Afterwards, your child takes a photo and collects their drawings in the app.

Made for Norwegian families.

Snirkel, Plapre and Drømsle are in Norwegian: Norwegian letters, English for Norwegian children, and bedtime stories read aloud in Norwegian. They suit Norwegian families at home or abroad, and Plapre and Drømsle also suit children who are learning Norwegian. If that isn’t you, they are probably not for you.

New bedtime stories, read aloud with calm pictures.

Litte and Pitte are two little dreamlings with a light on their heads, who listen to the bedtime story with your child. 60 new stories in eight books, in the tradition of the Norwegian folk tales, read aloud in Norwegian. Or you read them yourself, like a picture book.
