For Norwegian children
Plapre is in Norwegian. It is made for Norwegian children aged two to seven who are learning English, at home or abroad: 300 words for a holiday, from hello and thank you to asking for an ice cream at the beach. Each game is explained out loud in Norwegian, and the parent mode is in Norwegian too.
Learning Norwegian?
Plapre has three levels: Norwegian words, English words and English sentences. At the first level, Plapre says everything in Norwegian, and the games become a listening game for the youngest: hear the word, find the thing. It is made for two-year-olds learning their first words, and it also suits children who speak another language and are learning Norwegian. 300 everyday words about food, animals, the body, the beach and daily life, drawn so they are easy to recognise.

How it works
- 1
Plapre says a word, and your child finds the thing: feed her, pack the suitcase, pick fruit, search with a torch. Six games, 300 words.
- 2
Plapre gets things wrong. She points at the zebra and says “giraffe”, and your child gets to put her right. There is nothing a five-year-old likes more.
- 3
On the cassette player, your child presses the red button and says the word. Plapre says it back in your child’s own voice. The recordings stay on the iPad.
- 4
Every finished round earns a sticker in the book. One for every word, 300 in all. No points, no numbers and no streaks.
What Plapre won’t do
- No ads
- No points or streaks
- No subscription
- No account and no tracking
- No error sounds or red crosses
- No internet needed. Take it on the plane
